Description
Child trafficking is the illegal recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring, or receipt of children for the purpose of exploitation. This exploitation can include forced labor, sexual exploitation, involuntary servitude, and illegal adoption. Children who are trafficked often face severe physical and psychological harm, deprivation of education and healthcare, and violations of their basic human rights. Factors contributing to child trafficking include poverty, lack of education, political instability, and weak law enforcement. Combatting child trafficking requires comprehensive measures such as strengthening legal frameworks, increasing public awareness, supporting victims with rehabilitation services, and enhancing international cooperation to dismantle trafficking networks.
