Description
Cigarettes have severe negative impacts on health, being a leading cause of preventable diseases and deaths worldwide. Smoking is associated with a range of serious health issues, including lung cancer, heart disease, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and respiratory infections. The toxic chemicals in cigarette smoke, such as tar, nicotine, and carbon monoxide, damage nearly every organ in the body. Additionally, smoking can lead to addiction, reduced immune function, and lower overall quality of life. Secondhand smoke also poses significant health risks to non-smokers, including children and pregnant women. Quitting smoking greatly reduces these risks and leads to significant health benefits, improving both lifespan and quality of life.
