Description
Heat transfer is the movement of thermal energy from one object to another due to a temperature difference. This process occurs through conduction, convection, and radiation. Conduction involves the transfer of heat through direct contact between molecules, commonly observed in solids. Convection occurs through the movement of fluids, such as air or water, carrying heat with them. Radiation transfers heat through electromagnetic waves, like the heat from the sun reaching the Earth. Understanding heat transfer is crucial in engineering and everyday life for designing efficient heating and cooling systems, as well as for understanding natural phenomena such as weather patterns.
